Drug name: Generic celexa (Citalopram)
Therapeutic effects:
Celexa is an antidepressant. The mechanism of its action is associated with selective suppression of the serotonin reuptake in the synapses of CNS neurons. Citalopram does not bind to histamine, m-choline- and adreno-receptors.
Celexa does not affect the conducting system of the heart and blood pressure and does not cause weight gain. Citalopram does not affect cognitive function in humans and does not cause sedation.

- Depressive disorders
- Panic disorder with or without agoraphobia
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
